Sales & Marketing strategy and implementation

Influential Software were set up providing a misture of software development and managed services within the publishing industry.  Although they had grown the rate was not as dramatic as they expected. In addition their customer base was small with one or two clients making up over 70% of sales, a big risk to the business

Client need

Following a strategic vision away day the business became clear on the areas that were inhibiting growth and the tactic steps to move them forward.  In addition, bringing the skill and leadership levels of the team were important too.

Strategic Approach

The growth of the business has been spectacular:

  • From a handful of clients the business developed a sales generation and prospect funnel using Salesforce as the CRM engine to drive clients from the website and other social media platforms
  • Created a sales portal wtih hundreds of potential clients rather than a handful
  • 8 fold increase in staff with larger development centre in Maidstone and two offices in London and one in the north
  • Have engaged in acquisitions and one disposal over the last 8 years.
  • Revenue and profitability have increased too
